Crusoe Cabins: An Eco-Friendly Beach Getaway in Philippines

Crusoe Cabins is a breath of fresh air, nestled along one of the nicest and best-maintained beaches in Calatagan, Batangas. Their commitment to cleanliness shines through—from the rooms and restaurants to the facilities and beach. What sets this resort apart is its innovative, eco-friendly concept, providing guests with comfort and sustainability in one beautiful package.

Unique Accommodations: Cabins and Capsule Rooms

Crusoe Cabins offers distinct accommodation styles to suit different preferences.

  • Cabins: Perfect for a traditional beach experience, the cabins are spacious and well-equipped. Each cabin features a queen-size bed, a bunk bed, a sofa area, and a kitchen and dining area. Outside, the patio includes a big sofa bed, a hammock, and a table. Beachfront cabins are particularly desirable, located just steps from the shore.

  • Capsule Rooms: For a sense of adventure and a touch of glamping, the capsule rooms provide a cozy and unconventional stay.

My Experience at Crusoe Cabins

I stayed at Crusoe Cabins with my family from December 26-28, 2024. Although we couldn’t secure beachfront cabins—which were fully booked as early as April—our stay was still incredibly enjoyable. The cabins were comfortable, the beds were cozy, and the resort's dog-friendly policy allowed us to bring our furry companions along.

Our dog, Roscio, gets to share this vacation adventure with us!

Crusoe Cabins welcomes you and your furry friends, allowing up to two dogs per cabin! How fun is that!

The Beach and Activities

The beach at Crusoe Cabins is clean and inviting. During the mornings, the tide is low, making it less ideal for swimming, but as the day progresses, the water moves closer to shore, creating perfect swimming conditions. The waves were gentle, just right for someone of my size (I’m about 112 lbs), allowing me to enjoy the water without being dragged by strong currents.

Beach front Cabins!

Pristine waters, spotless shores, and the perfect spot for a cozy bonfire under the stars!

One of my favorite aspects of the beach was the intact seashells scattered along the shore, perfect for collecting. Early morning walks revealed tiny crabs scuttling along the seashore—a delightful sight.

Another highlight was enjoying taho, a traditional Filipino soy-based drink with small boba pearls. A vendor walked around in the mornings selling this comforting treat, adding a local touch to the experience.

Taho!

Every time I visit the Philippines, enjoying a cup of Taho is a tradition I never miss!

Additional Amenities

For those looking to mix up their activities, Crusoe Cabins features a waterpark with a giant slide and a lazy river. When the tide is low in the mornings, the pool is a great alternative for a refreshing dip. The resort also offers two restaurants: one conveniently located near the cabins and another closer to the capsule rooms, ensuring guests have easy access to delicious meals.

Travel Tips

I traveled to Crusoe Cabins from Taguig, Manila, which took about three hours. For international visitors or those based outside the Philippines, I recommend booking through trip.com for convenience. While the Philippines is home to many stunning beaches, especially in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, Crusoe Cabins is an excellent choice if you prefer not to fly and are looking for a beautiful beach destination on Luzon Island.
